Mwalimu National DT SACCO Chief Executive Officer Mr. Kenneth Odhiambo was crowned CEO of the Year – SACCOs and Microfinance at the Strategic Business and Leadership Awards held on November 7, 2025, at Villa Rosa Kempinski, Nairobi.
The award recognizes outstanding leadership, innovation, and impact within the cooperative and microfinance industry. It celebrates leaders who have demonstrated excellence in driving growth, fostering good governance, and promoting financial inclusion.
Besides being internationally accredited Credit Union Development Educatior (CUDE), the Mwalimu National DT SACCO CEO is a Financial Inclusion and Data Privacy specialist holding Certified Expert in Financial Inclusion Policy (CEFI) from Alliance for Financial Inclusion(AFI) in conjunction with Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Certified Data Privacy & Solutions Engineer(CDPSE) ISACA, Certified Information Systems Auditor(CISA) ISACA and Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
He has leadership track record spanning over fifteen(15) years working with Boards and Board Committees . He was a Technical member Capital Markets Master Plan Implementation Committee in Kenya sponsored by World Bank/National Treasury- Member FSSP (Financial Sector Support Program) Project Implementation Committee, Technical committee member East African Community Monetary Union (EAMU) Protocol as Member of High Level Task Force.
